✨Meet Mr. Ellinas, a very polite and kind patient. He was referred to us with a diagnosis of an ascending aortic aneurysm. Experiencing non-specific symptoms like dizziness, Mr. Ellinas underwent further evaluation, and after all preoperative exams were completed, the findings confirmed the need for surgical intervention.
💉Mr. Ellinas’s recommended treatment was a Biological Bentall procedure, the gold standard for aortic root replacement. In this procedure, a portion of the aorta and the aortic valve is replaced to address the damage from the aneurysm. When an aneurysm forms in the ascending aorta, it can widen the aortic base, affecting the aortic valve's ability to seal completely. This can lead to blood flowing back into the heart and increasing pressure within the heart chambers.
⏰On the first postoperative day, Mr. Ellinas was mobilized with help from our dedicated physiotherapy team. Despite the complexity of the surgery, he demonstrated remarkable resilience and was discharged just six days later—a true testament to his strength and determination.
📈One month post-surgery, Mr. Ellinas returned for his check-up, accompanied by his lovely wife. He’s in great spirits and eager to return to his daily activities.
Wishing you continued health and happiness, Mr. Ellinas!❤️
