February is coming to an end, along with the Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Month. But for our little heroes, the story continues… and it’s time to meet Kardouli!

Kardouli isn’t just a teddy bear — he has his own story and a special little scar on his heart, just like the children he accompanies.

He knows what it feels like to be scared, worried, and in need of courage. He’s here to offer hugs, smiles, and strength to every child who comes to the hospital for a heart procedure.

He sits beside them before and after the procedure, listens to their worries, and gives them courage. He may not speak with words, but he understands their feelings and knows how to make them feel a little lighter.

With his story and his scar, Kardoulis shows that challenges can be overcome, and that there’s always courage and hope, even in the hardest moments.
