The Cardiac Innovation Center is the reference point for pediatric cardiac surgery in Cyprus, covering almost the entire spectrum of pediatric cardiac interventions. With a specialized Cardiac and Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, we provide comprehensive care to our young patients — from the very first critical minutes after surgery to full recovery.
The Center is led by Dr. Ioannis Tzanavaros, Pediatric and Adult Cardiac Surgeon, with experience in more than 4,000 cardiac surgeries, of which over 1,000 were in children. From highly demanding procedures on premature infants weighing just 400 grams, to complex surgeries in adults, Dr. Tzanavaros combines scientific precision with human compassion.
For the past 4 years, pediatric cardiac surgery has been firmly established at the Cardiac Innovation Center, offering hundreds of children and families in Cyprus access to specialized care close to home.
