About the event
The Municipality of Polis Chrysochous, in collaboration with the Cardiac Innovation Center, is organising “Safe Aorta 2026”, an awareness and preventive screening programme aimed at the early identification of individuals who may be at increased risk of developing aortic diseases.
The aorta is the largest artery in the human body, carrying blood from the heart to the rest of the body. Aortic conditions, such as aneurysms, can develop over a long period without causing noticeable symptoms.
Awareness, recognition of risk factors, and appropriate preventive screening can contribute to early diagnosis and timely treatment.
📅 Saturday, 14 November 2026 | 09:00–17:00
📍 Cultural Centre of Polis Chrysochous Municipality
During the event, members of the public will be able to attend without a prior appointment and participate free of charge in an initial preventive assessment, which will include a specially designed questionnaire and an evaluation of individual risk factors. Individuals who, based on specific medical criteria, are identified as requiring further investigation will undergo specialised aortic screening performed by the medical team of the Cardiac Innovation Center.
Through “Safe Aorta 2026”, we aim to bring awareness and preventive healthcare closer to the community, while highlighting the importance of early detection of aortic diseases.
🤝 Participation of Healthcare Professionals
The “Safe Aorta 2026” initiative is also open to doctors and nurses who wish to contribute voluntarily to the implementation of the programme.
The participation and support of the medical and nursing community are warmly welcomed, contributing to a collective effort to promote awareness, prevention, and early detection of aortic diseases.
Know. Screen. Prevent.
