About the event
This year, the Cardiac Innovation Center celebrates 5 years of service by opening its doors to the public.
On July 10th, we invite you to a unique opportunity to explore the world of modern cardiac surgery.
For the first time, you will have the chance to tour the facilities of the Cardiac Innovation Center and discover what happens behind the doors of a modern cardiac surgery center.
Upon registration, participants will select a specific arrival time. In small groups, visitors will be guided through the event stations by members of our team.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to:
πΉ Visit a simulated cardiac operating room
πΉ Observe basic cardiac surgical techniques performed on a porcine heart
πΉ Learn about the heart-lung machine and the role of the perfusionist
πΉ Discover the role of the anesthesiologist during cardiac surgery
πΉ Learn about postoperative patient care in the Intensive Care Unit
πΉ Meet the Cardiac Innovation Center team and engage in discussion with us
